Kentucky and Indiana

Today's post will be composed mainly of pictures.

Apparently there must have been a lunar eclipse last night.
This looked way cool just before 6:00 a.m. Central Time

Bill Monroe, as everyone knows, is the
Father of Bluegrass music
Mr. Trucker almost peed his pants from excitement. He is a bluegrass aficionado. Alas, we didn't have time to stop and see Bill's Homeplace.  This is in Hartford, Kentucky. We had to satisfy ourselves with finding some bluegrass music on a radio station and it wasn't that easy to find.

It's good to have a 53 foot semi trailer when you're this close
to all the gold!
Pretty Kentucky scenery

Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville

A bit of school spirit!

The cardinal looks angry! I think he even has teeth!
At first I thought this said KFC Yumi center, but guess what?

Apparently it's the KFC Yum! Center
As in Finger Lickin' Good!

This shot's for you, Patti S-P. I imagine you know this place pretty well.

We're getting ready to take this bridge. Oh Joy!

Who knew? You have to cross the OHIO River to get from
KENTUCKY to INDIANA

Right now I'm just sitting in the truck in a parking lot at Interstate Cold Storage in Franklin, Indiana while Mr. Trucker sleeps in preparation for driving all night to a pickup in Zenia, OH.

I've been enjoying all the comments I get in response to my Silly Sounding Place names. Toad Suck, Arkansas particularly seems to have struck a cord with folks. Former high school classmate Sharon says they once blew a fuel pump in Big Bone Lick, Kentucky (and she says the lady from AAA thought she was a prank caller), and Cuz T in Michigan says his cousin's wife grew up on a farm between Bandana, and Monkey's Eyebrow, Kentucky. I'm sensing a theme here...silly names in Kentucky.

Today's Silly Sounding Place Name:  Paducah, (what else) Kentucky.
